CARBONMONOXIDE

CARBOMONOXIDE (molar mass = 28.011)  provides high accuracy thermodynamic properties for carbon monoxide using the fundamental equation of state presented in:

R.T. Jacobsen, S.G. Penoncello and E.W. Lemmon

Thermodynamic Properties of Cryogenic Fluids

Plenum Press, ISBN 0-306-45522-6, 1997

This correlation is valid for temperatures within the range 68.127 [K] < T < 1000 [K] at pressures up to 30 MPa.

Viscosity and thermal conductivity are by regressing values obtained from the NIST Standard Reference Database 14, National Institute of Standards and Technology, E.W. Lemmon, A.P. Peskin, M.O. McLinden, and D.G. Friend, (2000).  The ranges of applicability for transport function correlations are:

Gas-phase viscosity:  70 K to 1000 K

Liquid-phase viscosity: 70 K to 130 K

Gas-phase thermal conductivity: 70 K to 1000 K

Liquid-phase thermal conductivity: 70 K to 130 K

Surface tension data are provided through a correlation developed by:

G.R. Somayajulu

"A Generalized Equation for Surface Tension from the Triple Point to the Critical Point"

International Journal of Thermophysics, Vol. 9, No. 4, 1988

Note that CARBONMONOXIDE provides thermodynamic properties assuming real fluid behavior.  Use CO for ideal gas properties of carbon monoxide consistent with reference states used in combustion calculations.
