R448A
R448A (also known as Solstice N40) is a zeotropic mixture consisting of 26 weight% R32, 26% R125, 21%R134a, 7% R1234ze, and 20% R1234yf. It is considered to be a replacement fluid for R404A.. It has a molar mass of 86.3 kg/kmol.
Thermodynamic and transport property data for R448A are provided using a generalized equation of state fitted using thermodynamic property data provided by an application made available by the manufacturer. However, the reference state for enthalpy and entropy were changed from that in the application to agree with the IIR recommendation in which the specific enthalpy and entropy of saturated liquid are 200 kJ/kg and 1.0 kJ/kg-K, respectively. The model is applicable for temperatures between 200 K and 450 K with pressures up to 50 MPa.
