N2

N2 provides ideal gas thermodynamic properties for nitrogen gas valid over the temperature range from 200 K to 6000 K based on property information from McBride et al. (2002).  The reference state for specific enthalpy is based on the enthalpy of formation relative to the elements at 25 C.  The reference state for specific entropy is based on the Third Law of Thermodynamics.  The reference values are from:

Bonnie J. McBride, Michael J. Zehe, and Sanford Gordon

"NASA Glenn Coefficients for Calculating Thermodynamic Properties of Individual Species"

NASA/TP-2002-211556, Sept. 2002

Thermal conductivity data are from:

Vargaftik et al., 1994, CRC Press

"Reference Handbook of Thermal Conductivity of Liquids and Gases,

These data are provided in the range from 65 K to 2500 K.

Viscosity is implemented from

N.B. Vargaftik,

Tables on the Thermophysical Properties of Liquids and Gases, Hemisphere Publishing Corp, 2nd ed., 1975, ISBN 0-470-90310-4

The correlation for viscosity is applicable for temperatures between 80 K and 2500 K.

Note that N2 provides thermodynamic properties assuming ideal gas behavior.  Use NITROGEN  to provide real fluid properties in the subcooled, saturated mixture, and superheated regimes.
