n-DODECANE provides high accuracy thermodynamic properties for normal dodecane (C12H26, Molar mass =170.33 g/mole) using the Fundamental Equation of State developed by
Lemmon, E.W., Huber, M.L.,
"Thermodynamic Properties of n-dodecane",
Energy and Fuels, Vol. 18, No. 4, pp. 960-967, 2004
h = 0 kJ/kg, s = 0 kJ/kg-K at 298.15 K, 101.325 kPa. The reference state can be changed using the $Reference directive.
Range of applicability for equation of state:
263.6 K (triple point) < T < 800 K
0 < P <700 MPa
Thermoconductivity and viscosity data employ the relations presented by:
Huber, M.L, Laesecke, A., and Perkins, R.
"Transport Properties of n-Dodecane"
Energy and Fuels, Vol. 18, No. 4, pp. 968-975, 2004.
The transport property correlations are stated to have an uncertainty of <3% for viscosity and <5% for thermal conductivity for pressures up to 200 MPa.
Surface tension data were fit to the functional form proposed by:
"A Generalized Equation for Surface Tension from the Triple Point to the Critical Point"
International Journal of Thermophysics, Vol. 9, No. 4, 1988
The data used for fitting the surface tension correlation were obtained from the NIST Database 23 (REFPROP 7) program.
